These hills hold every story told about my work—kind words, harsh truths, and everything that lives in the shadows. All voices added, no edits, no erasing.

Great Story… But That Ending!

I really enjoyed this book and flew through it faster than I expected. The atmosphere was one of my favorite parts — the town, the falls, and the sense that something old was lingering just beneath the surface all felt very real. I liked how the story took its time and let moments breathe instead of rushing from scare to scare. It felt thoughtful and grounded, which made the mystery more meaningful.

That said… the ending left me frustrated. The epilogue felt like a cliffhanger that didn’t quite earn its place. I finished the book needing answers, especially about William and Heather. I kept waiting for that final sense of closure, and it just didn’t come. It wasn’t that the ending was bad — it just felt unfinished in a way that pulled me out of an otherwise strong story.

Overall, this was a great read with a compelling atmosphere and characters I cared about. I just wish the ending had given a little more resolution, because I’m still thinking about what happens next — and not entirely in a good way.

I didn’t expect The Mystery of Cerise Falls to stay with me the way it did—but it absolutely did.

From the first few pages, I felt pulled into Cerise Falls like it was a real place I’d once driven past and never quite forgotten. The setting feels alive. Not loud or flashy—quiet, watchful. The kind of town where people know more than they say, and the land itself seems to remember things everyone else wants to forget.

There were moments reading this where I had to pause—not because it was confusing, but because it felt too familiar. The hush of the woods. The unease that creeps in when something feels off, even if you can’t explain why. I found myself picturing the falls late at night, water rushing, mist rising, and realizing I didn’t actually want answers as much as I thought I did.

What really got me was the emotional undercurrent. This isn’t just a mystery you solve and move on from. It’s layered with grief, memory, and the way small towns hold onto their secrets—sometimes out of love, sometimes out of fear. The characters feel human in the best way:
flawed, guarded, and trying to make sense of things that don’t fit neatly into logic.

By the end, I wasn’t racing just to see what happened—I was feeling the weight of why it mattered. That last stretch lingered with me long after I closed the book, like the echo of water over stone.

If you enjoy mysteries that feel atmospheric, emotional, and quietly unsettling—this one is worth your time. Cerise Falls will follow you longer than you expect.

Reese the Haunted Halloweenie, A Halloween Mystery.
A Sweet Halloween Story We’ll Treasure!

I was so excited when Tibbi gave me the opportunity to read the very first of Reese’s adventures, and it truly did not disappoint. Reese the Haunted Halloweenie is such a charming and cozy Halloween mystery, filled with heart, imagination, and just the right touch of spooky fun.

My 3-year-old absolutely loved it — from the colorful story to Reese himself. We found ourselves rereading favorite parts and talking about Reese long after the book was closed. It’s one of those stories that feels comforting and magical at the same time.

I cannot wait to order our own copy, because this is definitely a book we’ll be coming back to year after year. We will absolutely be growing up with Reese and his friends, and I’m so excited to see where his adventures go next.

Strong Characters, Strong Setting, Left Me Wanting More

I picked up a 1st edition print proof of Hatched from a Chicken Egg from a local West Virginia shop during a day out, and it was made clear this was a pre-release proof that would never be sold in stores—which honestly made the experience even cooler. Knowing it was written by a local author added another layer of appreciation.

The storyline itself was solid and engaging. I connected strongly with Becca and felt the weight she carried trying to keep her family afloat. That struggle felt real and familiar, and it made her an easy character to resonate with. The town of Brakesville was especially well done—nicely detailed, atmospheric, and believable. It felt like a place with history and whispers in its corners.

The descriptions throughout the story were spot on, and the characters felt genuine rather than forced. My only real critique is that I wished the story had been longer. There were moments that left me with questions, and I suspect other readers will feel the same. Still, those questions didn’t take away from the experience—they just made me want more.
Overall, this was a strong, heartfelt short story, and I’ll definitely be keeping up with this author to see where their work goes next.
