Three Stories, One Appalachian Voice

Stories have always lived in the hills of Appalachia — passed down on porches, whispered over coffee cups, and carried quietly through small towns. My work is rooted in that tradition, blending mystery, folklore, and heart into stories meant to linger with you long after the last page.

Right now, three titles are available (or arriving soon), each offering a different doorway into the worlds I love to write.

The Mystery of Cerise Falls

Appalachian Mystery / Supernatural Suspense

Set against misty hills and a town that keeps its secrets close, The Mystery of Cerise Falls is a haunting Appalachian mystery where not everything wants to be found. It’s a story shaped by atmosphere, quiet unease, and the way the past has a habit of resurfacing when least expected.

This book is for readers who enjoy slow-building tension, deeply rooted settings, and mysteries that feel personal.

Hatched from a Chicken Egg

Appalachian Folk Horror

Hatched from a Chicken Egg is an Appalachian folk horror story born from rumor, hardship, and survival. When something impossible is discovered, a small community is forced to face what it’s been carrying — and what may have been waiting all along.

This story leans into folklore, moral tension, and the unsettling idea that some things grow best when left untouched.

Reese the Haunted Halloweenie

Children’s Cozy Mystery / Halloween

Arriving February 1st (with presale available now), Reese the Haunted Halloweenie is a cozy Halloween mystery for young readers. Reese and his friends navigate gentle mysteries, friendship, and bravery — all wrapped in spooky-sweet fun that’s just right for little readers.

This story celebrates kindness, teamwork, and finding where you belong, even when you’re a little different.

Each of these stories reflects a different side of Appalachian storytelling — from eerie and unsettling to warm and whimsical. And this is only the beginning.

✨ More titles are coming soon.

You can find more information, presale details, and available books at tibbiannhardix.com, and I invite you to follow along on Facebook for updates, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and news about upcoming releases.
